Overall

Collaboration Group - Back to Roots

My experience with collaborating with different people was overwhelming. They knew different things that I have no idea about. The group felt mature, in saying that, their were different age groups in our collaboration. This was a good thing to me because even though their were young ones with the whole class, most of them aren't so mature at all. (just being straight up) When everyone presented their proposals to the class on a Monday, I didn't have a group to be in but I was told to jump into back to roots so I thought I should ask Steve but he was sweet as with everything. When I met everyone in the group, most of the girls were already from my class so I felt comfortable. I laughed when their was only one male figure in the group Joseph from performing arts, he's awesome to talk too, when he wants work done, he gets it done just like Jackie! The first time meeting everyone was a bit awkward because I had no idea what everyone was on about. Reason why is because I'm always missing out coming to class. I am sorry for not turning up to class but I'm having really tough times being at home, I really don't want to use this as a excuse because everyone has problems to deal with. I just wonder how do they deal with it, I mean like dealing with family that don't give a crap about how your doing at course or even what type of art your doing at course. Theres no appreciation towards what I do for making things, they always seem to put me down every time I try harder but they don't understand what I do. My family is always about money really, like every other family is like that, it's understandable but why? Anyways I wanted to catch real bad and so I did, lucky I wasn't the only one that hasn't been in, their was me and Natalie that need to catch up on what we needed to do. My role was all the filming and editing process, that's all I could do really, I could act but I wasn't too keen on that. We had multiple meetings every week usually every Friday but the ones who set it up, don't turn up or it's too late because we have other classes. It's always those same people who do it and it gets irritating! We were so last minute, especially filming everything, my brain was going insane! The lack of communication was a no go! We wanted to set some rules but they couldn't even obey that, Joseph was the our leader because he knew what to do, when to do it and how to do it, he was the main mvp for our group. The older ladies just talked too much to the point where they don't even make no sense at times, I couldn't really keep up. It was good we had our own roles to do, like the research crew, the filming and editing crew and the actors. We all did our part and it was an awesome experience to work with a group that's mixed ages. The outcome of the whole presentation was an awesome feedback from the back to roots crew and everybody else, it was cool to have a film and it being live at the same time. I will definitely work with these guys again sometime.

How do we represent ourselves?

Yes, I do believe in changes, changing for the better.

Research Filmers

Back to Roots.
Notes.
This is the first thing that I searched on google to help me out with editing the film for our collaboration. Just some simple ways on how to use premiere pro. I didn't research any filmers to do with filming or anything, I just did what I was taught and it seemed to turn out ok. If I didn't know how to do something Tangi was there to help me out and I did the same to her.

Group Meetings

When I first meet everyone in the group, and got to introduce myself and get to know each other and to know what we want to do for this collaboration.
